Noah Ludy is a 2017 C with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Woodland HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, has room to fill out but also shows present strength to frame. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front, higher set behind plate during drills, quick transfer to get ball out of glove and into short arm stroke through the back, 2.00 best pop time, gains short ground with lower half coming out of the crouch. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Very short stride in lower half, upper body dominant swing but stays compact through the zone. Shows a nice feel for the barrel and can work the middle and pull side parts of the field with comfort, line drive contact with a contact oriented approach, stays short to the ball and is able to create extension at times out at the point of contact.
