Brandon Scheffler is a 2006 catcher from Elgin, Illinois, with a stocky build at 5'9", 180 pounds. He hits from a wide stance with a high leg kick. He has good balance during his swing when he doesn't over stride and step out. He has a very strong upper body, and showed good power at times. He moves well laterally behind the plate, and has excellent blocking skills. He has good balance, and receives the ball with soft hands, and has a strong arm with accurate throws. Brandon is a solid defensive catcher, and has a lot of potential to develop and play a high level of college ball.
