John Weber is a 2016 MIF/OF/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Crawfordville, FL who attends Wakulla HS. Tall and slender build, projects well physically. 7.21 runner, moves well laterally on defense and reads hops well, better arm strength and release from lower slots while on the move. Right handed hitter, simple swing mechanics, small leg lift trigger and good direction to contact, stays short to the ball and repeats his mechanics, gets the barrel into the zone, should continue to improve with additional strength. Also pitched, tall delivery, compact arm action with a wrap in back, uses his lower half well to generate power to the plate. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, mostly straight. Flashed some depth to his curveball, developing change up. Excellent student.
