Wesley Stewart is a 2017 RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Jacksonville, TX who attends New Summerfield HS. Medium young build, plenty of room to get stronger. Side step delivery, drop and drive to the plate with lots of late energy, arm tends to be left behind at times, cross body on release, 3/4's whippy long arm action. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, mostly straight with occasional glove side cutting action. Slider was his best pitch with some 3/4's tilt and depth at times. Rare curveball and change up with a slower arm at release. Good student.
