Ryan Lambert is a 2018 3B/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Auburn, AL who attends Auburn High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, shows aggressiveness moving towards the ball, hands play well at the ball out front, medium arm stroke through the back and gets on top of throws well, shows accuracy across with carry out of the hand. Also pitched, leg lift up slightly past belt, short stride down the mound, shows quickness to arm action through the back and gets on top of the ball well, able to generate short running life to fastball which topped out at 80 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Works exclusively out of the stretch, throws strikes with fastball and can get to glove side, curveball shows short 11-5 shape with depth down in the zone, holds velocity and projects for more with additional lower half. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Utilizes a quick leg lift trigger at start of swing, shows a line drive swing plane through the zone with quick hands and a full path through the zone. Shows ability to work all fields with comfort and generates carry gap-to-gap while incorporating physical strength well, projects with additional lower half involved in swing. Very good student.
