Richard (RJ) Boyle is a 2016 RHP/2B, OF with a 5-10 162 lb. frame from Archbald, PA who attends Holy Cross. Medium frame with some room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a deliberate, online delivery and shows ability to repeat mechanics well. Gets on top of ball well to create some downhill, fastball topped at 81 mph and works down with the pitch for strikes. Some effort at release, flashes a curveball with 11-5 break and tight spin. Works through the ball well in the infield, shows athleticism with range to left. Right-handed batter, starts upright with a low hand set. Swing is a bit rotational, line drive plane, ability to hit to all fields with good plate coverage. Good student.
