Kyle Stevens is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Millard West HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. Very smooth and easy delivery mechanics, extended 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well in back, low effort release. Consistent fastball velocity, topped out at 80 mph with more velocity there, mostly straight but throws to spots on both sides of the plate. Nice change up with deception and feel and good sinking action. Sweeping soft curveball with 10/4 shape. Throws strikes with all three pitches and has an idea how to pitch. Right handed hitter, balanced stance with good shift and rhythm to contact, handled the barrel well and squared the ball up, solid pull line drive contact. Showed his athleticism in the outfield, charges the ball hard with good footwork and some arm strength, accurate throws. Solid athlete with strong fundamentals in every aspect of the game, should continue to improve with additional strength. Very good student.
