Zachery Dodson is a 2017 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Huntingdon, TN who attends Huntingdon HS. Has a medium frame, athletic build, room to continue to fill out physically as he puts on additional muscle. Posted a 7.00 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, has good quickness and athleticism. Showed quick release into throws from a lower slot, made accurate throws with arm strength up to 77 MPH. From the outfield, has quick twitch actions with good movements to and through the baseball. Had good carry on throws with good arm strength up to 85 MPH. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a squared stance. Has an opposite field approach with an inside hand path. Showed bat speed on a line drive swing plane. On the mound, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with deep arm circle through the back. Uncoils hips well into a clean plant foot, stays online. Fastball has natural sinking action, slider has good deception from slot. Good student. Named to Top 2016 National Indoor Top Prospect List.
