Mitchell Verburg is a 2016 RHP with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Lake Oswego, OR who attends Lake Oswego HS. Tall and lean build, very projectable physically. High energy delivery, quick arm wrap in back, works back to a high 3/4's to over the top release point, will spin off to the first base side on release, good athlete who was able to repeat his release point despite energy. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, big downhill plane with lots of life of all types down in the zone, hard to square up when locating down. Slider is a quality second pitch with consistent arm speed and tight spin, gets nice 2 plane tilt at times. Did not see a third pitch at this time. Good student, verbal commitment to Oregon State.
