Cal Howard is a 2017 2B/SS, RHP with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Seminole, OK who attends Seminole Jr-Sr HS. The middle infielder has a compact build with some muscle mass to him. Really good range across the infield with quick and clean transfers on balls hit to his glove side. Very natural defender that has a feel for his position. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts in a crouched stance. Showed a quick and compact swing that stayed on a line drive swing plane. Displayed hard pull side contact with some loud pop off the barrel. On the mound, pounded the zone with some deceptive velocity for his size. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good downward bite on his change up. Excellent student. Named to Top Prospect list.
