Isaac is a physically strong left handed hitting third baseman from Illinois. He has a power approach at the plate with a big coiling action and a strong upper cut pull oriented swing that lifted a few balls out of the park during batting practice. We’re betting that Isaac hits plenty of home runs with metal in his hands with his strength, bat speed and approach. His coil and pronounced hand hitch make it difficult to project him hitting off top quality stuff on a consistent basis. Defensively, Isaac has fair actions and fields what he gets to well. He could improve with better lower body flexibility. Isaac also pitched 3 innings in Fort Myers, showing a 77-79 mph fastball, good pitchability and a 66-71 mph curveball that had decent spin and bite. Isaac is an excellent student.
