Jarad Bell is a 2007 OF/IF with a 5'9'', 150 lb. frame from Marion IA, who attends Linn Mar HS. He is a small framed athlete with a live body and quick actions. Ball ran the 60 in 7.14 but showed better baseball speed than that. He was 3.86 on a bunt from the left side and got out of the box quickly on full swings. He also gets good jumps on balls in the outfield and shows centerfield type range, along with solid arm strength. Ball has a good grasp on his strengths as a hitter. He has a short, slashing type of swing and hits the ball to all fields. He'll put the ball on the ground and beat out more of his share of infield hits and is an aggressive baserunner once he gets on. Coaches will know that he'll put pressure on the defense by making contact and keeping the ball out of the air. Ball is also a good student. He has committed to Western Oklahoma CC.
