Jordan Sivertson is a 2008 OF/P with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Richmond, IL who attends Carmel HS. He has an athletic, well proportioned build with good present strength. He throws from a multi-piece delivery that has some deception to it and a quick, compact arm action. Hitters don't get a good look at the ball. Siverston's fastball was in the upper 80's and touched 90 mph with very good life in different directions at different times. We've seen Siverston throw harder in the past but we like the movement he had on his pitches in Cincinnati. Siverston's slider lacked ideal power at 76 mph but it had good late bite to it and he mixed in a couple of workable change ups. He worked quickly and was an efficient sinker/slider type of pitcher. Siverston is a good overall athlete who runs and hits at a high level as well. He is a good student.

Jordan Sivertsen is a 2008 right handed pitcher/right hand hitting outfielder from Carmel HS, residing in Richmond, IL. Named a Top Prospect at this event. Sivertsen has a 6'2" 185 lb. frame and a strong, rangy body that is a good pitcher's build and still has room to fill out. On the mound Sivertsen was particularly impressive. He showed three quality pitches and nothing out of hand is straight. His arm is quick and with is short arm stroke, his stuff jumps on hitters quickly. His fastball was up to 88 and had plus sink, with some bore that will break bats. He has the ability to gets outs by simply using his moving fastball, which is a big time ability to have. Sivertsen's slider is another quality pitch. It has big lateral action and hard bite and should develop into a plus "out pitch". The more he used it the better it got. He also flashed a plus change-up. The longer is able to stick with the fastball in an outing, the more devasting his secondary pitches will become. Sivertsen is the type of pitcher hitters hate to face. He also showed very well as a position player. He is clearly strong, with good bat speed and the ball came off his bat well. Presently his power plays as line drives with carry and in time he is going to start carrying over the fence. Sivertsen stays short to the ball, giving him a short power stroke, which is the best kind to have. He made a lot of hard barrel contact. Defensively his quick arm plays well from the outfield, where he is best suited to either corner. His speed is good and he has a chance to play in right field. Sivertsen is a must follow on the mound for D1 programs and the pro game and for some programs he should be considered a two-way prospect for his bat.
