Polan is a 6-4, 220 lb senior right handed pitcher from South Carolina with a strong lower half. He throws from a cross body delivery with a low elbow out front. Polan's arm works smoothy with little effort. He locates a 77-80 mph fastball well and repeats his delivery. Polan's breaking ball is a 63-66 mph sweeping curveball with a big break. Polan looks like he should be able to throw harder with his loose arm and strong body and he might have been tired due to the time of the year. He is an excellent student.

Adam Polan is a 2006 right hand pitcher from Perkiomenville, PA, with a big, solid 6'3", 195 pound frame. Mechanically, he throws from a ¾ arm slot, and throws slightly across his body. Polan throws with a short backside, and hides the ball well. His fastball topped out at 81 mph, and it looked as if he was throwing a good 78 mph cut fastball with late break. Polan’s curveball was 62 mph and his changeup was 71 mph. He maintained good, loose arm speed on his off-speed pitches with good sink on his changeup. Polan has a projectable body with solid secondary pitches, and could develop into a top pitcher with some added velocity. Adam is strong academically.
