Tyler Stephens is a 2016 RHP/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Merritt Island, FL who attends Merritt Island HS. Medium frame, with a young build and a lean frame, projectable frame with added strength. Right handed pitcher, throws from an easy, high three-quarter slot with a long arm action in back. Balanced, online delivery, and finishes towards the plate. Fastball topped at 75 mph, gets on top of the pitch with some arm side run. Curveball shows 11/5 break with downward plane. Good feel for his changeup at 67 mph with has sinking action to it. Hands play in the infield with arm strength that will continue to develop. Right handed batter who starts from a high hand set and closed base. Slight uppercut in swing, aggressive against fastballs, and makes contact to the middle of the field. Excellent student.
