Daniel Kaplan is a 2006 shortstop from Penfield HS in Rochester, New York, with a strong 5'11"/205 pound frame. At the plate, he hits from a wide base with a slightly crouched stance. Kaplan has a toe tap trigger as a hitter with good hands. He is aggressive at the plate and is a solid line drive hitter. Daniel has solid actions in the infield and showed good feel for his position. He is one of those players that just makes the playes. Kaplan is a very good student.
