Calin Knight is a 2020 RHP/IF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Home School. Medium athletic build with good present strength, young face. Works from the stretch with some energy to his delivery, rear back and fire mechanics, has a compact arm action that hides the ball well, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, mostly straight, tends to rush out front with his body on his fastball and leave the pitch middle of zone up. Slider was his best pitch, has outstanding spin and hard late biting action, type of pitch that can get hitters out at a very advanced level, lands it consistently for strikes with knee buckling depth, has the ability to get over and out front on his slider that he didn't show on his fastball. Had some feel for his change up and it should develop nicely for him. Key to his development with be future fastball command as the slider will get him outs anywhere. Good student.
