Ryan Mabee is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Memorial HS. Large athletic build, good present strength. Low effort on line delivery, hunches over some in delivery losing height and leverage, clean repeatable release. Steady fastball at 73-74 mph, some arm side running action at times, throws fastball to spots. Based on first base throwing velocity in drills has more in his arm. Big slow curveball with some 1/7 depth for strikes. Left handed hitter, ball comes off the barrel hard, long and strong swing with some lift out front, best contact to left centerfield. Shows some athleticism around first base defensively with good footwork and arm strength. Very good student.
