Chet Lytle is a 2017 MIF/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Arlington, TX who attends Martin High School. Lean athletic build with room to fill out. Square broad shoulders. Hit from a square stance with a high hand set and back elbow. Short swing path to ball with lift at contact. Barrel has quickness through zone and repeats his swing well. Works mid field to pull with solid line drive contact. Was aggressive early in counts looking to pull ball. Hands worked well and got into good hitting slot. Defensively, circles ball well, feet work well getting through baseball. Has clean transfer and release from varied slots. Also pitches, simple repeatable mechanics, medium arm action to a 3/4 arm slot. Stays balanced through delivery, curveball shows good spin and 11/5 shape. Good Student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
