Rob Griswold is a 2016 SS/2B, 3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Milford, CT who attends Jonathan Law HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a lean, projectable build with more room to fill out. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, funnels the ball well, high energy and athletic action, sound to the ball and glove plays with soft hands, whippy arm action and very quick release from lower slot, comes out of hand cleanly and shows fluidity all around. Right-handed hitter, starts with some wrap to barrel with a narrow stance and a high back elbow. Big stride with a solid shift of weight through lower half, shows bat speed through the zone with a direct path to the ball. Line drive swing plane, employs a middle of the field approach with a consistent feel for the barrel. Shows ability to go to all fields with extension out front and some whip to the barrel. Verbal commitment to LIU Brooklyn. Named to Northeast Top Prospect List. Good student.
