Nathan Kessler is a 2015 2B/OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Gaithersburg, MD who attends Quince Orchard HS. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and present strength on frame. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, stays low fielding the ball and shows range to glove side, hands play and shows strength and carry on throws across. Online throws from the outfield with strength from a short arm action, feet work well to the ball, projects with incorporation of lower half into throws. Also pitched, throws from an over the top slot with a full arm action in the back. Stays on line and uses lower half well with extention out front. Fastball gets cutting action topping 81 mph, curveball shows 12-6 shape, and maintains arm action well on changeup at 72 mph. Right-handed hitter, start with a slight wrap in swing and a small step into contact. Upper body swing, keeps hands inside well and shows solid contact ability. Simple and repeatable mechanics, shows strength and lift off barrel, best power is to pull side. Good student.
