Jake Hamilton is a 2015 C/3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Granbury, TX who attends All Saints Episcopal HS. Large, athletic frame with present strength and some room to continue to fill out. Primary catcher, shows a quick transfer and release, gets on top of the ball well on accurate throws down to second base. Keeps shoulders square to balls in the dirt and blocks well in game action. Needs to incorporate lower half into throws to gain ground to second base. Right-handed batter, starts from an upright stance and uses a toe tap trigger. Maintains balance throughout swing. Gets the barrel to the ball well with line drive contact to the middle of the field. Raw strength and shows bat speed. Very good student.
