Danny Cooke is a 2018 C/RHP, 2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Westwood, MA who attends Westwood. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build and good room to continue filling out frame. Ran a 7.25 seconds 60 yard dash. Hits with small stride into contact, has some smoothness and fluidity throughout swing mechanics, incomplete weight shift into contact, hands are quick and clean, controls barrel well and matches plane, line drive swing plane with middle-field approach. Solid set behind the plate when catching, will stand up to receive at times, transfers well post-reception, made consistently accurate throws to 2B with pop time as low as 2.12 seconds. Pitched as well, threw exclusively from the stretch with two-pitch mix, medium effort in delivery, lacks plane to plate, hip coil into delivery with shorter, quick arm action, drives well to the plate, FB worked 72-74 with run to arm side, flashed CB in high 50's-low 60's, excellent depth on pitch. Changed eye levels and threw strikes with both pitches.
