Chris Sabino is a 2017 IF/RHP/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Orangeburg, NY who attends Pearl River HS. Sabino has a strong athletic build with more room to add strength. Hits from a square stance, not much shift in to swing now but has strength in barrel. Has line drive swing plane with mid field results. Hands work well and are short to ball, very simple swing mechanics which are easy to repeat. Consistently got barrel to ball in games. Defensviely, from the infield, short arm action, accurate throws across with carry out of hands. Sure footwork coming in on ball. From first base, fuller arm action, looks more comfortable at first, ball has carry across diamond. Also pitched. Long arm action to a high 3/4 arm slot, curveball has 11/5 spin with good depth and has feel for it. Very quick worker and everything was in zone, Repeated delivery well. Good Student.
