Mike Amador is a 2008 LHP/1B from Palm Beach Gardens HS in Loxahatchee, FL, with a 5'9", 168 lb. frame. Mike has a athletic build and produced solid workout results. At the plate Mike shows good balance in the box with athletic actions that helps him square up many balls, and show solid power projection. In the field Mike showed extremely quick actions around the bag at 1B and was one of the top fielders in the workout. He also showed off impressive arm strength in the field. On the mound Mike has a long loose arm action that produces a solid 1 to 7 CB, and he was very effective working the outside corner. Mike was a low effort pitcher that was able to field his position well and has a body that projects to gain more velocity. Mike is a very solid student that will attract the attention of many mid-level schools.
