At the plate Spencer shows a short line-drive swing with good balance and leverage. He has good strength and bat speed and should be able to hit for a high average. Spencer can turn on the ball and there is no real weakness in his offensive game. In the outfield Spencer showed online actions with a strong arm and good range. He has the tools needed to be a very solid rightfielder. Spencer plays for one of the top high schools in Florida and will attract the attention of many high-level college programs.

Spencer Theisen is a 2007 OF/P from Bishop Moore HS in Longwood, FL, with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame. He ran the 60 in 7.26 and threw 78 mph from the outfield in drills. He ran hard and athletically on the bases and could improve as a runner in the future. Theisen showed very good actions in the outfield and moved to balls aggressively and with good balance. His throws were accurate with low on-line carry. He looks like a very polished outfielder. Theisen hits from a still start at the plate with a no stride approach. He has a very short path to the ball with his hands and has bat speed. His hips work well. If he could get some rhythm into the start of his swing he could really emerge as a hitter. Theisen looks like a quick twitch athlete who is going to keep getting stronger, so he has a lot of potential to improve. He's a good follow who could be a sleeper candidate to blossom as he gets stronger and makes some adjustments with the bat. Theisen is also a good student.
