Patrick Nathanson is a 2007 LHP/1B/OF from Trinity Prep in Maitland, Florida, with a 6'4'', 180 lb. frame. On the mound he throws with a loose and easy arm action and a high leg kick. He pauses slightly with his land leg before he plants it, but stays balanced throughout. His fastball topped out at 79 with arm side life, and we project that he will much harder in the future. Nathanson mixes in a 1 to 7 curveball with biting action and good depth at 64 mph, and has a 72 mph changeup with arm side sink. He has control of all three pitches and keeps the hitters off-balance. Nathanson is not afraid to pitch inside, and has good mound presence. He is a tall lefty with good upside on the mound. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with an upright stance and a knee lift trigger. Nathanson doesn't get cheated at the plate. He swings hard and aggressively with solid bat speed. He is a good student as well.
