Joseph Weaver is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Woodbridge, NJ who attends St Joseph HS. Broad shouldered athletic build, well proportioned and strong throughout. Clean arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, occasionally more straight over the top, arm works well coming through, stays closed with his front side well and stays directional. Upper 70's fastball, gets hard sinking and running action, spotted his fastball very well, gets swing/miss on fastball with movement, also got broken bats and lots of ground ball contact. Curveball has good spin and some 12/6 downer depth, shows feel for pitching. Right handed hitter, upper half rotational swing from a square stance, handles the barrel well and has an understanding of hitting, works the middle of the field and flashes some lift at times. Sound fundamentals on defense, stays on top of his throws, hands are soft at the ball, can make the routine play. Good student.
