Jacob Jaycox is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-3 203 lb. frame from Florissant, MO who attends Hazelwood West HS. Long and strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. Leg raise delivery with a long and deep arm action, has lots of moving parts and balance points to his delivery and can simplify it for more consistency. Upper 80's fastball, looks like he has a 2-seam/4-seam approach with good sink at lower velocities, mostly straight at 88-89 mph. Slider was sharp and really deep at times, flashed nasty when he spotted it, can use his slider more. Threw a hard knuckleball in warm ups with some waggle but rarely to hitters. Improving fastball command is key but has the arm strength and ability to spin the ball to make him successful at the college level. Good student, signed with Jefferson JC.
