Jordan Abrams is a 2017 C/1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Alpharetta. Large frame with long, lean, athletic build; good projection on body moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.45 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based, open stance with upright set. Leg lift trigger, gets weight moving forward into positive shift with good hip torque. Good strength in swing with solid bat speed, shows ability to match plane well and drive the baseball to all fields with line drive swing plane and approach. Showed well defensively in a pair of spots. Good footwork behind the plate when catching, receives well and makes clean transfer, fires down to 2nd base with quick arm action to ear-side release, very strong arm clocked up to 80 MPH and pop times as low as 1.97 seconds. Worked out at 1st base as well, shows good footwork both around the bag and off of it with athleticism and efficiency, bends well to field cleanly out front, makes athletic pivot and shows off very strong arm, clocked up to 87 MPH. Good student.
