Matthew Wiseman is a 2017 3B/1B with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Fl, FL who attends Eustis High School. Medium build with a filled out frame, good strength and athleticism. Posted a 7.35 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary third basemen, threw from a lower slot with developing arm strength and sound accuracy across the diamond. At the plate, started with a wider base, high hand set and a leg lift timing mechanism. Drives the ball easily, with good bat speed and torques well through his hips. Simple hand load with strength present in frame and uses it well in his swing generating lots of hard contact from a line drive swing plane. Also pitched, utilized a fastball at 78-81 mph primarily relying on arm strength alone. Would see fastball tick up with additional lower half and command increase as well. Mixed in a curveball in the mid 60's with short depth as well as a changeup in the low 70's showing feel for the pitch. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
