Jovani Moran is a 2015 LHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Sabana Grande, PR who attends Escuela Superior Urbana. Slender long limbed build, very projectable physically, young look. Well paced high leg raise delivery, clean arm action in back, high 3/4's extended arm slot creates angle, repeats his delivery well. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, mostly straight, throws fastball to spots and will have plus fastball command due to his delivery. Slurve type breaking ball with occasional depth, can develop more power and true slider shape in the future, keeps slider down in the zone well. Rare change up with slower arm at release still developing. Lots of projection and already has polished mechanics, strong chance to keep improving. Verbal commitment to South Florida.
