Dylan McDowell is a 2016 1B/LHP with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Riverside Poly HS. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and well proportioned strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.86 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, hands played on balls in dirt and picked well, high but quick transfer, very compact arm action, moves well on feet and shows footwork, arm strength and carry will continue to develop. Leftt-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Small shift through lower half as trigger, even stance with a short and quick bat path to the ball. Generates nice bat speed through the zone with hard contact off the barrel, separation out front and creates solid carry to all fields. Shows intent in swing and repeats mechanics consistently. Named to West Coast Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
