Steve Selsky is a 2008 OF/3B/P with a 6'1'', 210 lb. frame from Manhattan Beach, CA, who attends Loyola HS. Named to the Top Prospect Team. Selsky has present strength in his body. Defensively he moves well with nice footwork. He also shows solid arm strength on his throws across the diamond. Selsky has position flexibility. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who is very aggressive. Selsky steps in the box and you can tell he can hit. He has good bat speed and he gets leverage at the point of contact. Selsky has plus raw power, and the ball jumps off his bat. There is a slight lift in his swing plane that does not hinder him from centering the ball consistently. He keeps his hands in a good hitting position, and he should hit for power and average at the next level. He is a middle of the order bat that needs to be followed.
