Allonte Wingate is a 2015 SS with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Beaumont, TX who attends Monsignor Kelly HS. Medium young athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, balanced stance, moves into contact well, good hand quickness, short quick path to the ball, sound overall fundamentals, handles the barrel well and makes square contact, tools/skills to keep improving with additional strength. 7.16 runner, loose athletic actions on defense, quick soft hands with good transfer and release, arm strength still developing but good mechanics, projects well. Polished young infielder who will keep improving as he gets stronger. Good student.
