Myles Mensah is a 2016 SS with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from NW Washington, DC who attends St Johns College High School. Medium, athletic frame with quick twitch muscle and a projectable frame with added strength. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows soft hands when fielding the ball out front, quick arm and transfer, longer release, quick feet that work through the ball well, athletic actions and shows range. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly open base and athletic stance. Shows a disciplined approach, upper half swing with a short quick path to the ball. Good bat speed in swing, ball carries well of the barrel, line drive contact, power will improve with incorporation of lower half into swing. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List. Very good student.
