Adrian Aurrecoechea is a 2008 OF/1B/3B with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Miramar, FL, who attends American Heritage HS. Adrian has a well-developed athletic build. At the plate Adrian has a line-drive swing plane with good hand strength. He will need to work on improving his balance at the plate and getting a better weight transfer if he wants to see improvement. In the outfield Adrian has clean tools, but will probably be limited to left field unless his arm gets stronger. Adrian is an incredible student that may attract the attention of some small colleges.

Adrian Aurrecoechea is a 2008 OF/1B from American Heritage High School in Miami, FL, with a 5'10'', 177 lb. frame. He is a very young player with room for added strength in the future. Defensively he is very quick to the ball in the outfield and positions himself very well to make plays. Shows range with good jumps and reads off the bat. He has slinging arm action from the outfield that limits the carry on his throws. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance. Aurrecoechea takes a hard, aggressive, long stride to the pitcher, and is a contact hitter with a line drive swing plane. He has the ability to hit to all fields, and is an outstanding student.

Adrian Aurrecoechea is a 5'10" 171 pound 2008 outfielder and first baseman from American Heritage High School in Miramar, Florida. He has decent arm strength that is still developing at 71 mph from the outfield. Adrian has pretty good actions defensively who hustles at all times and moves well around the first base bag. Offensively, he hits with a wide base and uses mainly his upper body to swing the bat. Aurrecoechea is a spray hitter who has some good power that should improve as he matures. He doesn't use much of a trigger to hit but he has good hand strength to get the bat through the hitting zone. Adrian is a young kid who plays hard and should continue to develop. He is also an excellent student with a 4.93 gpa who has high level academic ambitions.

Aurrecoechea is a 5-10 sophomore outfielder from Florida who also pitches. He has a projectable body that shold continue to get stronger. Aurrecoechea ran the 60 in 8.15 and threw 70 mph during outfield drills. He has a short swing with some hand strength and could develop some power with more extension in his swing. As a pitcher, Aurrecoechea threw 68 mph with his fastball and relied on a 61 mph curveball. He is an excellent student with high level academic ambitions.
