2005 Pre Draft Showcase
Angel Negron- 1B- Marshalltown CC (IA), Maunabo, Puerto Rico- 6'4"/205. This kid can really hit. He has a smooth swing from the left side with easy power and the ball jumps off his bat. Negron looked very good in BP, and went 3-6 in the game with a double. Negron also showed good hands at 1B, and had the actions to have some position flexibility. He did pop a 1.98 from behind the plate with raw actions. We think he could also play 3B or a corner OF position. He is a draftable talent and could be one of the 2005 drafts big surprises.
