Brad Qualley is a 2006 3B/RHP/C from Scottsdale Christian HS in Scottsdale, AZ, with a 6'3", 200 lb. frame. Qualley has good strength potential with an athletic body to project form. He is a lively player with solid actions on defense and strength in his swing. Qualley gives everything he has at the plate where he swings hard and will never get cheated. He has plus bat speed with present raw power and he can drive balls out of the park. He is a middle of the order bat with upside for more to come offensively. On the mound he has some arm strength, and the ball leaves his hand well. He has the kind of pitcher's body a coach can dream on. He has a sound delivery with good balance and potentially could see more fastball velocity in the near future. Qualley is a good two-way guy that will be able to contribute either way at his present level, and has the chance to do each at the next level. He is a solid follow and is a very good student.

Brad is a young, "06" catcher / corner infielder with a big league body (6'3/185) that has plenty of projection left. He needs some mechanical help defensively but he has excellent ability. He shows good receiving skills, and only needs to work at improving his arm strength a little. His arm and pop times will be better with improved mechanics. We think he is a legitimate 2.00 game time POP guy with mechanical changes. At the plate he hits from a high hand style and flashes pull side power. He is a good student and he's definitely an "06" to keep an eye on.
