Bryan Bell is a 2006 second baseman/right handed pitcher from Liberty, TX, with a small frame and a stocky build at 5'8", 160 pounds. Defensively, he showed sure hands and a nice glove to the backhand side. He has a clean arm action, and he makes accurate throws. At the plate, He hits from a slightly closed stance with a wide base and uses a no load, no stride approach. He shows good hand and wrist strength but would be well served to incorporate his legs into his swing more. He makes solid contact with a line drive swing plane. On the mound, he throws from a high ¾ arm slot with a medium arm action. His delivery is upright and shows some upper body stiffness. His fastball was 71 mph and showed a nice downward plane. His curveball was 58 mph with 12-6 break. Bryan has sure hands on the infield and good power potential that will play well at the next level.
