Samuele Lizarraga is a 2015 RHP with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Cedar Rapids Kennedy HS. Long lanky build, some developing strength with lots of room to fill out. Slow paced delivery, good direction, keeps his hands away from his body, deliberate actions, medium arm circle with a tight high 3/4's release, arm works well coming through. Upper 70's fastball, maintained velocity well, topped out at 79 mph, good downhill plane, threw fastball to spots well. Tends to drop elbow on curveball but flashed good spin a couple of times, developing change up. Should continue to improve and add velocity. Right handed hitter, busy load with hand hitch and leg kick, long swing, hits the ball out front and has some power, loose swing, has hitting potential if he continues to add strength. Good student.
