Trey Turner is a 2014 C/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Seneca, MO who attends Neosho. Medium frame, high waist with room to fill. Very well rounded player who showed ability all over the diamond. Posted impressive workout results all around: 80 mph velocity from behind the plate paired with a 1.90 pop time in the catcher workout, threw 91 mph from the outfield and ran a 6.96 60 yard dash. Accurate throws behind the plate with a short arm action, longer arm action from the outfield with good carry to online throws. Showed ability to use all fields at the plate, lacks present strength for power but ball carries well off the bat for his current size, chance to develop power with increased physical strength. Line drive swing plane, whips barrel through, deep load, lift in swing, good sound at contact. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot, short tight tailing action on fastball, good shape to slider, has some upside on the mound as well. Good student.
