William Chapman is a 6' 175 pound 2007 outfielder and right handed pitcher from Los Angeles, California who attends Calabasas High School. He is a strong kid with a barrel chest and a strong face. He has an athletic build and has room for added muscle. William has a very strong arm in the outfield which he displayed during the workout by hitting 88mph on the radar gun. He has good carry on his throws and very good accuracy as well. He takes good routes to the ball and with his speed should be able to track down most fly balls. Chapman has good present strength at the plate and generates good bat speed throught he hitting zone. He swings very hard and aggressively and he gets better every time we see him. On the mound, William throws from a 3/4 arm slot with some effort in his delivery. He has good pure arm strength and good command on all three of his pitches. He has a compact arm action and uses a quick tempo on th mound. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with his curveball at 61-64 mph and his changeup at 66-74 mph. Chapman is an aggressive player who runs hard at all times on the field and has high energy with good awareness of his surroundings. He tends to make friends easy and looks to be a leader on and off the field. William is an excellent student as well with a 3.6 gpa.

William Chapman is a 6' 175 pound 2007 outfielder and right handed pitcher from Los Angeles, California who attends Calabasas High School. He has an average frame with a lean build and athletic proportions that have room to fill out still. He has good muscle tone with some strong thick calves reminiscent of Mark Prior. William threw 87 from the outfield showing off his very strong arm and ran a 7.10 60. He has good actions and an arm that stands out from all the rest. He is extremely aware of his surroundings and wears his passion for the game on his sleeve. He hits with high hands and has good bat speed and strength and drives the ball to the opposite field with authority. He is a great kid to watch play and has the makings of improving his game and play at the next level. Chapman is a good sound baseball player that is aggressive and attacks the game. On the mound, William toppoed out at 81 mph with his fastball that had some run and sink to it. He will be able to add velocity with some minor corrections in his mechanics. His curveball and change up are both in the high 60's and are solid pitches. Chapman has a good tempo and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. He throws with all arm making one think that once he gets his body involved he will throw much harder. William is a very good student as well with a 3.6 gpa.
