Nicholas Storz is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-6 245 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day HS. Extra large well proportioned athletic build, outstanding present strength. On line delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot and big downhill angle to the plate, arm works well coming through, medium energy on release and can be hard on his front side. Throws a heavy high spin rate fastball, gets the ball down at the bottom of the zone well, topped out at 94 mph. Slider not consistent yet but will show big sweeping break at times. Only took BP due to travel obligations but may have as high a ceiling as a position prospect. Huge top of the charts raw power, doesn't sell out for the power, gets huge lower half torque and leverage, can hit the ball as hard and as far as any player in the class. Might end up being a Mark Trumbo type of talent. Verbal commitment to Louisiana State. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
