Preston Betz is a 2015 SS/RHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Plano West. Betz has a long lean body with a thin young build. Defensively, he has quick transfers with soft hands. He moves to the ball well and takes good angles to the baseball. Betz has some arm strength with developing actions. At the plate, he swings from a wide base and uses a rotational swing. Betz swings on a line drive path and has a middle of the field approach. He is a contact type hitter with a simple swing. Betz pitches with an online delivery and has a shorter stride. He gets some sink on his change up and has some feel for it. Outstanding student.
