Alan Guild is a 2016 1B/LHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Kensington, CT who attends Berlin. Tall, strongly built, lean frame with room to fill out. Ran a 7.25 60 yard dash. Arm strength is still developing across the diamond but makes accurate throws. Hands work well and moves quickly off the bag. Bats left-handed, works from a wide, upright setup and hits to the middle of the field. Flashes hard pull side contact and shows good carry. Has a sound game approach and stays compact. Also took the mound, touches 73 mph from a high three-quarter arm slot. Spots his fastball down in the down. Also mixes a 1-7 curveball with solid shape. Works fast and throws strikes. Excellent student.
