Defensively, he has some arm strength from behind the plate with some carry on his throws. He has some catch and throw tools with a longer release. At the plate, Leighton starts with an open upright stance and uses a pull back load to start his swing. He has an aggressive approach at the plate with a longer swing path to the baseball. He stays through the ball well and gets extension at contact. Leighton has some bat speed and has a smooth stroke. Good student.
