Austin Shenton is a 2016 3B/1B/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Bellingham, WA who attends Bellingham HS. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Left handed hitter, low hand set to start, shifts well into contact, has some uphill plane to his swing, tends to get too inside the ball at times, best bat speed and extension when working mid field to pull the ball, ball comes off the barrel hard when pulling. 6.97 runner, can throw from different arm angles, accurate throws with a quick transfer and release, charges the ball well, arm strength playable at third base, also a candidate for left field/first base depending on his bat develops. Bat will be his carrying tool. Good student, verbal commitment to Washington.
