Matthew Kellis is a 2013 RHP/IF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Chesterfield, MO who attends Marquette Senior HS. Slender low waisted build, lots of room to fill out. Hand drop/leg raise delivery, high 3/4's release point with good downhill plane, arm works well and has some speed and looseness, projects physically. Low 80's fastball topped at 84 mph, more velocity in there, mostly straight. Curveball shows good spin and bite when on top, tends to get under the ball from a lower release slot at times, also lowers release slot on developing change up. Showed good arm strength during infield drills, third base actions. Right handed hitter, hard aggressive swing with some raw bat speed, hard line drive game contact. Good overall athlete. Signed with Southeast Missouri State.

Matthew Kellis is a 2013 RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Chesterfield, MO who attends Christian Brothers College. Large lean frame. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound, clean delivery, the ball comes out clean, balanced online delivery, stays tall on back leg, simple repeatable mechanics, has good arm speed, fast arm, takes a long stride, throws on a downhill angle, fastball has cut to it, curveball is a good pitch that works nice with a 11-5 break to it. At the plate shows good bat speed, has a loose good swing, with pop in his bat. Is an interesting guy to follow on the mound.
