Nicholas Dorcean is a 2013 RHP/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Bellerose, NY who attends Archbisop Molloy. Smaller build, flashes some good athleticism, has room to add additional strength. Ran a 7.40 60 yard. Pitches from an over the top arm slot, unable to create a downward plane, very consistent delivery, repeats well, simple mechanics. Works at 74-75 mph with his fastball, stays very true through the zone. Throws a big, slow curveball that he's very confident in and he throws it for strikes, big 12-6 rotation. Also hits, short arm action from the outfield, flashes good arm strength, footwork is still raw. Right-handed hitter, low hand set, needs to get his lower half involved, sound swing mechanics, could extend better, flashes bat speed. Good student.
